Island Grill: Lively Bar & Grill with Bay Views and Fresh Seafood in Ira Township, MI

Fun & lively place! Lots of food options as you watch a constant flow of boats going by. Great bay view also where you can see miles of activity. Good prices on food and many specialty vacation style cocktails (check out the beer buckets - good deal!) Much more seating (in the shade) on lower portion of outdoor restaurant with live bands performing. We like to come by boat - many boat wells for all sizes and a golf cart shuttle if you dock a distance away along their seawall. Side note - Island Grill is supplied by local Mexican restaurant with their awesome fresh made "chips and salsa" that I can drink by the glass it's so good! Recently had grilled chicken with bacon, grilled pineapple, cheese and bacon. Yum! My husband had the same thing but on a burger. Both were really good and the burger was cooked medium as requested! Was a busy night, and our service was excellent.

Fun! The food was actually great, fast even when busy. Super cool vibe and atmosphere and the golf cart ride is another fun, different experience. You certainly cannot tell how cool it is from the road so give it a try.

Awesome place with lots of boat/jetski parking. Gorgeous views while having dinner! The food was great but I wish they had a few more entrée options on their menu.

The atmosphere was everything! The menu was very limited. My food was ok, but if I went back I really wouldn't know what to order because in my opinion there wasn't much and most didn't appeal to me. Had a mocktail, but this would be a cool place to just hang out and have some real adult beverages!

The bacon wrapped shrimp were awesome, the fries were not fresh but we're just an afterthought anyway. Awesome views!

A real good experience on the top deck bar, enjoying the lake & boats views celebrating my sons birthday with cocktails & a little food. The burnt ends wrap was excellent. Salads were large & plentiful & dressing fir the Ceasar salad was awesome. Waitress was spot on & very kind. Definitely going back soon.

Really good experience with an awesome atmosphere, you definitely feel like your on island time when your here. Food was good the island wrap with burnt ends is a must. The Boca Chicken sandwich was good and really messy make sure you have extra napkins on deck. The environment is key here it really takes you to another place. We sat up top and started in the shade and migrated towards a sunny table after a few minutes. The view is great with a lot of boats comin and goin was fun to read the different names on them while we chilled. They had a band playing that was top notch also.

Very nice location with great views of the lake from the upper deck. The food is okay but not great. My wife had the coconut shrimp and it was the typical frozen food section coconut shrimp. I had a turkey bacon wrap and it was mostly lettuce but overall was not terrible, the fries were room temperature. There is a nice little sand area with toys for the little ones and there is baby changing stations in the bathroom. Service was good and the boat dock kids were helpful.
